From December 6th to 8th, 2024, the “National TB Hospital Management and Innovation Conference” and the “National Conference of TB Hospital Presidents” co-hosted by the Beijing TB Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Innovation Alliance and Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University, was successfully held in Suzhou. More than 500 hospital administrators and TB prevention and treatment experts from 31 provinces attended. Conference focus: Hospital management reform under policy guidance
With the theme of “Hospital Transformation and High-Quality Development,” officials from Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Department, National Disease Control and Prevention Administration and the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission emphasized that TB hospitals must build an integrated “prevention–diagnosis–treatment–management” service chain under the framework of Tiered Healthcare System, Drug and Medical Device Innovation, and Health Insurance Payment Reform. Mr. Li Liang, Vice President of Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University， highlighted the concept of “Leveraging medication accessibility as a pivot to boost primary diagnosis and treatment capabilities” which gained broad recognition. Meanwhile, The simultaneous launch of the National Thoracic Cooperation Center and the launch ceremony of the Innovative drug Pretomanid signaled that China’s DR-TB control has entered a new stage of “shortened, standardized, and accessible” treatment.

The combined use of these two products has demonstrated favorable safety and efficacy in clinical practice, providing optimized solution to improve DR-TB treatment success rates.
