On March 24, 2025, coinciding with the 30th “World Tuberculosis Day”, the 20th Shanghai 3·24 Tuberculosis Forum was held in Shanghai, hosted by the Shanghai Anti-TB Association and the Tuberculosis Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association. More than 1,500 experts and healthcare representatives from across China attended. Zhongnuo Caring was invited to attend to this forum with its Cycloserine and Bedaquiline products.
Conference focus: Precise prevention and control through nationwide participation
With the theme of “Full Action, All-in Investment, Nationwide Participation, Ending TB,” the forum focused on TB-free community initiatives, coordinated prevention and control in the Yangtze River Delta Region, and short-course regimens for DR-TB. Mr.Zhang Hao, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Health Commission, reported that Shanghai has promoted grassroots TB control through a “Three-Screenings, Two-Managements, One-Mobilization” model, achieving 47,000 screenings of key populations by the end of 2024 and launching TB-free community projects in 21 sub-districts. WHO expert Mr.Dennis Falzon, in a virtual address, noted that China’s model of “improved drug accessibility + digitalized management” offers valuable lessons for the global community.
Zhongnuo Caring: Carefully selected anti-TB medicines
At this major academic platform, Zhongnuo Caring showcased two core products:
Saitesun® Bedaquiline Tablets: The first diarylquinoline anti-TB drug worldwide, targeting ATP synthase to cut off the bacterium’s energy supply. Recognized by WHO and China’s national guidelines as the preferred drug for MDR-TB/RR-TB, it is a core component of both long- and short-course all-oral regimens, significantly enhancing treatment success rates.
Daslikang® Cycloserine Capsules: By inhibiting cell wall synthesis, cycloserine is recommended in the 2020 Clinical Guidelines for Cycloserine in TB Treatment for MDR-TB, XDR-TB, and DR-TB meningitis, providing high value in individualized regimens for complex cases.
Clinical studies have confirmed the favorable safety and efficacy of their combined use, further strengthening Zhongnuo Caring’s professional contribution to DR-TB control.
Through this forum, Zhongnuo Caring not only absorbed cutting-edge academic insights but also deeply experienced the collective strength of collaboration in TB control. Moving forward, we will transform this experience into continuous momentum—focusing on unmet clinical needs, strengthening cooperation with research and medical institutions, and contributing to the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry.
